‘Tis the season for lots of holiday-themed session plans for myself and the rest of my team!
This Kwanzaa song has become one of my favorite pieces to pull out for some of my larger groups. It’s simple format makes it easy to add lots of fun improvisational elements like group drumming, creative movement, or songwriting.
I also love this song because students have the opportunity to explore different words in Swahili – which can be a great speech and language exercise.
What cool holiday-themed ideas are YOU using in your sessions? I would love to hear in the comments below! Happy session planning!
